Disclaimer: all utilization of the reworked 'Artemis" design by Greek painter Douris of Athens (480 BCE) is intended strictly for promotional purposes only, and its ongoing commercial exploitation shall remain compliant with the terms set forth by the generic Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 licensing agreement under which the new derivitave work is governed.

[1] Due to the diverse and complex nature of many of these releases, we are often times unsuccessful in locating some of the repertoire owners of a particular composition or published recording. If you are the rights holder to any of the music content published by Disco Babylon, we kindly ask that you reach out to us directly before opting for legal action in order for us to retroactively resolve any potential liabilities.

[2] The official statement of intent pertaining to the limited commercial exploitation of licensed material by Disco Babylon LLC is that the label operates in a competent manner that seeks out all personnel credited  with creating the original work(s) upon which derivative or duplicate work(s) are published.

[3] In addition to seeking out the credited personnel directly, Disco Babylon will make every effort to reach out to the  surviving family members of these artists, songwriters, and record labels (many of which are defunct or inoperative).

[4] In each instance we are able to determine a likely candidate or direct match to the rights holder we are attempting to contact, the label tries to make direct contact with them via email, phone/text, as well as through direct messages on social media.  The label attempts to make direct contact with presumed rights holders at least once before moving to publish, distribute or manufacture a commercial  product which contains licensed material.

[5] When we are unable to determine a current rights holder to both (i) a musical composition and/or (ii) a published sound recording, Disco Babylon reserves the right to act as a non-commercial digital sound archive and to subsequently modify, remaster, re-publish and re-distribute the original work or any derivative works so long as use of the work is intended primarily for purposes of historical preservation or for limited promotional use.

[6] Due to the demanding commercial nature of the archival work involved with restoring and reissuing out-of-print musical content, and the subsequent expenses which incur as a result of doing professional-grade restoration work, it is thus deemed reasonable for Disco Babylon to recoup these expenses by selling products and distributing content which features the licensed work for a reasonable profit.

[7] With these factors considered, it is our official policy that we will not manufacture more than 200-500 copies of a registered work in order limit its use with respect to the original creators and publishers.  We consider this to be a very practical distribution boundary to contain any potential legal or financial liabilities that may arise."
